Wunderkammer Pecha Kucha Talk - Lea Redmond

Wunderkammer: from Wonder Room to Wonder World

By  |

In this quick pecha kucha talk (20 sec/ea x 20 slides), Lea shares various ways we can make artful objects that create a more wonder-filled world. This presentation was part of Talk20 at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in San Francisco on May 19, 2011.

Note: A wunderkammer is a Renaissance “wonder room” full of curious objects, both “natural” and human-made.

Lea Redmond is always looking for the poem hiding inside things: a salt shaker, a clothes tag, a hand gesture, a cloud. She is infinitely intrigued by the way experiences can slip from the ordinary to the extraordinary and she endeavors to design things that hold this possibility. Leafcutter Designs, her creative studio in Berkeley, CA, makes the world more playful and peaceful one little experience at a time.
