When times are tough it's good to remember that the best things in life don't actually cost much. In fact, they are priceless: a long walk after dinner, fresh home-baked cookies, a friend's comfy couch, a board game on a rainy day.
These sweet wooden tokens offer sixteen (16) different homegrown goods and services - from you to your lucky recipients. Give them as gifts (great stocking stuffers!), pass them out at potlucks, or simply leave them around town for other people to find and circulate. Let them take on a life of their own and remind us what true value is.

More About Trade Tokens:
Trade tokens have a long and interesting history. They were used during the fur trade in exchange for pelts, and factory and agricultural workers were paid with tokens to make employees shop at the company store. Trade tokens promising free beer were handed out as advertisements for saloons, and tokens have occasionally taken the place of currency when it was scarce. "Hard Times Tokens" from the early 1800s were stamped with political satire. On a more personal note, I grew up feeding tokens into Skee-Ball machines at the Bay Arcade in Newport Beach.
