The World’s Smallest Post Service Debuts at Sweet Adeline

Posted April 15th, 2008 by Lea Redmond and filed in in the shop, social practice, world's smallest post service

The World's Smallest Post Service made its debut last Saturday at Sweet Adeline Bakeshop in Oakland. And those cookie-eaters sure put me to work! For seven hours people wrote letters and I transcribed them with a teeny tiny pen onto teeny tiny stationery. Each tiny letter was then sealed with wax bearing the initial of the sender (old letterpress type) and packaged up with a magnifying glass. To date, the WSPS has transcribed 30 "World's Smallest Letters." Keep an eye on this blog for future WSPS events. (UPDATE 2/22/13: To date the WSPS has made and sent over 30,000 tiny letters, cards, and packages to recipients around the world.)

Thanks for the good cheer, Sweet Adeline! You can also order teeny tiny letters, cards, and packages on my website: http://www.leafcutterdesigns.com/shop/wsps/about.html
